I want a feature, to be given the decision, to which base or transporter new recruits are send to. Very often I buy one and he gots transfered to a base far away, where I don`t need him/her.

When you try to recruit from haven and your aircraft is full pop-up will appear and you can choose location for your recruit.

I second this. It's a very simple yet highly frustration-reducing implementation, in my view. I've had to travel from China to Alaska and back just to pick up that one recruit I couldn't hold in my transport at the time. I'd love to just send them right to the base that's closest to the front, or to the one with more training facilities.
Makes sense. We already have a pop-up for placing a newly constructed ship, why not for recruits?
Agreed.. and they might even use a popup method similar to this and use either Class Icons or even soldiers "Snapshot" as reference!
PS; If i had another suggestion while on this subject, such Recruits (specially *Elites*, btw) would be offered --already-- Leveled Up at 2-3-4.. with enough XP to select promos. There's an opportunity to bring variable costs too instead of a generic set of values for Rookies.
Yeah, they already teleport to closest base when transport is full. Making it controllable won't break immersion any further.
Really? I had no idea, I thought you always needed an open slot in your transport or else you wouldn't be able to hire a recruit. I've been freeing up a slot in my transport every time before going out to hire a newbie so far.
Well, this still makes sense to do as long as closest base isn't the one where you want them.
