Bring Back the Creepiness and Horror Mood
Christian Schmid
Yes, please. The world feels a litte to edged and square. Please work on overall atmosphere (connected feelings to soldiers, vehicles by adding more detailed background information, little stories, making them more "alive" by feelings, relations, etc. Look at games from Obsidian as an inspiration.

Sadly, this will never climb from the bottom to anywhere near the top. :(

Dan Thompson: Im big part, because it is such a vague request, then I don't even know, if I agree or not, or if it is even achievable.
I would prefer to have more exploration, ambushes and tension&release within the same mission. As it is maps are small, view distance is far, and it feels like we start and end in mostly the same place, just shoot stuff that spawns around us. There are missions that have that potential (like alien bases) but I found them tedious, rather then tense, with biggest dilemma being whenever I brought enough ammo, or not - and that's a decision made before the mission starts, so can't do much about it beside evac or reload if I didn't, with main loss being a significant portion of my time. Individual missions don't have much in terms of spikes in excitement.
Mist I found to be quite underwhelming - from early teases I thought it will be more like dangerous fog of war, present when fighting in areas covered by mist on the geoscape. Unless I misuderstood, or designs were completely crapped for whatever reasons, I would like to see this feature expanded on and added on a later date.

Wormerine: that is why i suggested to make dead soldiers return merged or fused with monsters we already know (tritons, arthrons, sirens)
I agree the mist could be much more but i dont have something smart to suggest reg this point
