Join/Merge 2 Transports Forces on Missions
complete
Oz Dillon
It would be nice if a 2nd transports troops could team with the 1st on a mission, whenever both transports are at the same mission location.
A Joint forces type of operation, with at least half the other ships crew helping out the main force, to a maximum of 10 or 12 Troops on the map :)
The downside of this, would be the XP is shared amongst more troopers. :O

Yeah I should have tried it, first. Before popping off at the keyboard. :(

Yes, this is already in the game. The maximum number of units per mission is 8 though (9 for some missions).
Eddie Cohanim
Vit Barta: for what missions is it 9?
Vit Barta
Eddie Cohanim: It is 9 for final mission(s). And much more for base defense. Not sure how much is the maximum there (18?). But on this screenshot I have 15 soldiers and 1 vehicle in base defense.

Vit Barta: It seems I am getting lax in my thinking process as I age beyond 60. :O
Setokaiva
This is already in the game. I routinely bring two transports to tough mission sites to have 8 soldiers.
Василий Зверев
Did they remove it with the recent patch? Before I could join forces of 2nd transport up to 8 (for some missions 9) troops.
Having too many troops on a mission removes challenge and makes battle too easy, dull and repetitive.
Oz Dillon
Василий Зверев: Truth be told, during the 200+ hours of game play, I haven't been able to do it at all. But only recently tried to do so, and found you're still limited to 8 troops, other than at bases. Where I've had upwards of 20 during one raid. :O
Tactical Heathen
If this is implemented then the bonus SP each soldier gets from being on the mission needs to be further reduced or completely removed.
I would suggest that if there are 9 soldiers on the mission they get -1SP, 10 soldiers -2SP, 11 soldiers -3SP and 12 soldiers -4SP (This would be on Legend where you only get 5SP each mission). Maybe do the same on Hero and -2SP per soldier for Veteran and Recruit since you get 10SP each mission on those difficulties.
Oz Dillon
Tactical Heathen: Agreed. However, I've have staged as many as twenty troopers sent to a base to defend it, when an attack warning was issued, and they all were in the mission when the attack came. So it's not like there is no precedent for this. ;)
