Mark of the Void now working even against a priest
LouisdeFuines
Before Danforth the priest could prevent incoming damage by his skill. Now all soldiers are helpless to MotV. The devs consider it to be feature now. That is very bad game balance. You are forced to take multiple medpacks with you and the priest becomes obsolete. If they nerf RB, the final fight will become what it is now: awful.

I hate this change. I'm a casual player and not hardcore, and now I can't complete the final mission. So do I load up on ammo or medkits, either way I can't complete the mission. I go through a lot of ammo getting through the mission. So I either carry medkits and have to bash my way to victory with no ammo or die in a blaze of glory. But I level up a priest just for the blocking ability which is all of a sudden useless. I'm finished with this game until this is fixed and they come to a final decision on how it's going to play. Seems like it came out of Beta too early.

I don't think being "forced" to bring enough sustain is bad design per se but Mark of the Void not doing psychic damage is confusing at best. In order to up the challenge in any interesting way, there will have to be a re-design, regardless of what happens to MotV.

omenomaho: I agree. Some sort of countermechanics. Currently even moving the 5 tiles away doesn`t help.

I know there are some hardcore that applaud this change. I'm not in agreement with this change. Even turrets are affected and I thought they are immune to psychic damage, along with priests. This approach breaks their own rules. This turns a boring mission into a boring breakdown of their own rules.
The more I think about I fail to see how the devs can say it's not psychic damage. The boss is not shooting the target, but it is marking them psychically.
Finally got around to trying the final mission with the "fixed" MotV. see https://forums.snapshotgames.com/t/last-boss-bugs-spoilers/10903/24
