Elite Acid Grenade Arthron reduced from 30 to 20 acid per tick
Acid worm explosion reduced from 50 to 30 acid per tick

Yes, I believe acid ended most on my campaigns. Had 2/2 augmented Heavy and one acid worm that landed on roof. I set overwatch on 3 soldiers to not let it get to me. But as it was falling from roof, all 3 missed, shooting above it. Then it exploded next to my full health heavy. There is no way to save him. So yea, acid too OP.

Most notably chirons.
Arthrons with launchers are annoying, but you can usually shoot them in their arms and it's not a major problem.
But Chirons apply a ridiculous amount of acid per each blob that hits, and if they shoot a tight cluster of acid blobs you can have squaddies getting 300-500 acid applied from one unseen attacker that is so far on the other side of the map there is no way to reasonably take care of before they get to attack.
Which means on turn 2, since there is no way to remove acid or otherwise mitigate the damage, outside of maybe a level 7 technician with boatloads of will, you have to extract anyone hit, or they are all dead before turn 3.
This is the biggest BS acid issue.

This shall be linked to the autopsy/vivisection reward enhancement.
When a arthron with a acid launcher has been autopsyed (?), the acid removal kit is researchable. Acid can still do 1 turn damage (enough to destroy a great part of the armour, and make our/their soldier a lot weaker), but this new kit (or health kit addition) can neutralize it.
We could imagine this could be researched only with a vivisection, which can lead to specific mission to capture enemy species to research countermeasure. This kind of mission can be stressful because it is the kind of mission where we sacrifice 1 or 2 soldiers for a better futur.

Agree. I am doing like my sixth or seventh mission, and just lost all of my squad to acid from either across the map or enemies i couldnt kill/disable because i had too few soldiers left to take care of all of them. It's not hard or just difficult to deal with, but simply unfun and frustrating. I'm not sure if it becomes manageable later in the game, but in the really early game there is no way I can do anything with every single Arthron in my game having that as a Weapon.

The thing that amuses me is that acid has this terrible effect on armour, but the tin shack my squad is huddled in is, apparently, perfectly immune. Quick, send a research team....

A good solution would be to drop the armor. That solution was available in the original XCOM.
A simple fix would be a 'heal acid' function that can only be used once per soldier per mission (as in stripping & dropping ALL armor to the ground).
The simple fix without graphics and stuff shouldn't take much of an effort.
This whole game is filled with "design bugs" that just frustrate me.

This OP Acid thing is breaking the game. My best soldiers get OS by some bug shooting from the opposite end of the map, ther's no way to get to them and kill them before they wipe an entire team. How do you deal with an enemy that can do 300 hp damage per turn to your guys?

Kevin Vandenberghe: You use your own map range guys in form of Heavies with Boom Blast and Grenade Launchers and Fury rockets. Also snipers. Or you retreat those soldiers that got acided a lot.
Or you wait for a patch that will fix it.

In a mission, I encounter 2 chirons (erf)...
2 chirons = 6 acid worms. I try to clean the 6 each turn but sometime you miss one. The result in one explosion my heavy take 300 acid dot, for only one worm !
The first round, nothing append but you can't heal or remove this dot, so the second round your soldier die in one shoot.
So we should have an acid cleaner ou reduce drastically the acid amout you can take by one hit, 30/40 acid damage is already really big, so 300 is no way (worm, chirons or arhtrons).
Or in balance add drastically soldier health so we can survive.

yea my hole team was wiped by a one turn 2 shot acid splash on my guys did 130+ Dmg on them after my turn killing all of my guys
