I'm especially curious, Vandor, given what I said in my own post on this matter, were you able to, from that latest save on the Geoscape, redo the scavenge mission, and have it complete successfully?

I just had this happen to me on the mission "Corruption of the Mind". I completed the mission objective on this mission, and got the successful mission screen and everything. Then, it went back to the Geoscape (no replenish your stocks window, and no dialogue related to the mission's completion, since this is a scripted quest, not a random one).

Instead, I found myself at my last Geoscape save position, which I made just before reaching and deploying for the mission. As Vandor said, reloading my saves in the mission itself still results in the same bug happening. Somethings a bit messed up here.

I did not have any evacuated soldiers during the mission. I did use the "Restart Mission" option once when I first started in on this one. Before I did that, I did evacuate one guy, but I've evacuated guys dozens of times and never had an issue like this.

I had some guys who were burning when the mission completed. Mission goal is to kill the source of the infestation. I did that, and they were standing in some fire, but the mission completed. I don't think that's related, but thought I'd mention it.

Coincidentally perhaps, or perhaps not, I have a bunch of autosave_failed log errors in the Phoenix Point AppData folder, all at the time when I start this particular mission. I find that to be awfully coincidental, to the point of having something to do with what's going on, but I wouldn't know what exactly.

I tried deleting the autosaves (I had an autosave, and an autosave_1 in the save folder), and reloading my Geoscape save, and I still got an error file. There is an autosave file in the game now, but, as was implied by the save error file, that autosave is corrupt. It appears at the bottom of my save file list, the picture is a black background with three red exclamations, and the date is 01/01/001. If I try to load that save, I get an "Incompatible Save Version" error, though I suspect that's just a generic error statement. Even if it wasn't it's clearly not correct about a versioning issue. Again, I don't know if it's causing the mission issue, but there is definitely something wrong with the saving process here.

I don't get this error doing any other mission so far, since this one. But every time I try "Corruption of the Mind" I get the autsave failure. Unfortunately, I'm not about to spend another couple hours crawling through that fight (on Legend) just to see if it will complete properly, when there are signs that it simply won't.

This particular bug is rather frustrating. That was a long mission to have lost the time it took me to work through it. The save corruption is particularly concerning, in terms of playing the rest of my campaign.

It may have something to do with some of my troops evacuated before save point. Just a guess.
