Syrens - Bad balance

I think that the Syrens are the only worst balanced enemy in the game, because their mind control range is wide and they can control 2 PCs in a turn or at least consume (if you are using the right mind control immunity augmentation, unfortunately a must) will, while their life/armor is very exaggerated. To sumarize: too many armor/life points and too many will points, mind control range too wide

I had to give up on a lair mission because there were three Sirens in close proximity, all using Psychic Scream and it paralysed my entire squad. Permanently.
There was nothing else close that was causing much harm, turn after turn I was unable to do anything until one of my assaults finally panicked himself out of range, but couldn't actually see the Sirens to shoot at them. The sirens had blocked themselves from advancing so milled around, scream and scream again. It was a sort of stalemate.
Eventually, I gave up and went back to an earlier save game.

Steve Crook: If I recall correctly, one of the possible solutions from Snapshot for balancing Nests, Lairs and Citadels is to have fewer Sirens in Lairs.

Michael Carver: Yes, I'd seen it and thought the proposals were decent and would address many/most/all of the problems.

Steve Crook: probably a limit of max 1 siren per mission could be a good work around
